Musician Dan DeChellis has been creating music for decades. The pieces he wrote during the pandemic reflect a period when things closed down and time seemed to slow down. The low drone of his music reflected this feeling of slowing down and inspired a new focus — painting. The music and paintings go hand-in-hand in this exhibit, each feeding into one another.
Join us as we celebrate the opening reception of these works at Nurture Nature Center’s Delaware Gallery. The seasoned musician and newly inspired artist will be there to play his music live.
Come early at 6pm to experience a Science on a Sphere presentation about time: “What is Time? A look at the science behind how we measure our days.”

On Oct. 14, 2023, an annular solar eclipse will cross North, Central, and South America. You’ll be able to see a partial eclipse from the Nurture Nature Center. During an annular eclipse, it is never safe to look directly at the Sun without specialized eye protection designed for solar viewing.
An annular solar eclipse happens when the Moon passes between the Sun and Earth, but when it is at or near its farthest point from Earth. This is the last annular solar eclipse that will be visible from the United States until June 21, 2039.
Join us at NNC for special programming around the eclipse!
