Nurture Nature Center launches interactive educational mobile app for the Karl Stirner Arts Trail

Have you ever walked along the KSAT and wanted to know more about the art on display or about the local environment and history? Where does that gate lead? How old is that giant tree by the red arch? NNC developed an app for answering those questions! In collaboration with KSAT, Inc. and with funding from the Lehigh Valley Greenways Conservation Landscape, NNC created a KSAT mission in the Agents of Discovery app available on all smartphones. The app allows you to explore the KSAT in a fun, new way while providing interesting information on the art, culture, history, and environment along the trail. As visitors walk along the trail they will find challenges in the app that appear at specific locations and provide information and a question. If you complete all the challenges you will be an agent of discovery! NNC and KSAT, Inc. will host a public release event for the app on Saturday April 14th, 2:30 pm at the 13th Street Entrance where visitors can find out more about the app and walk the trail.

This project was completed by Nurture Nature Center in partnership with the Karl Stirner Arts Trail, Lafayette College, and the Lehigh Valley Greenways Conservation Landscape. Funding was provided in part by a grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, Bureau of Recreation and Conservation, Environmental Stewardship Fund, administered by Delaware & Lehigh National Heritage Corridor, Inc.
