What will our future climate be like? What tools can we use to be more resilient? Those were topics discussed during a webinar hosted by Nurture Nature Center on the U.S. Climate Resilience Toolkit as part of its CREATE Resilience NOAA Environmental Literacy Grant project.
Guest speaker LuAnn Dahlman presented on the Toolkit, showing how to access it and giving an overview of potential climate hazards, case studies describing how people build resilience, and guidance on the digital tools available to help communities move toward resilience. She demonstrated how to use the Climate Explorer tool to see what climate projections are indicated for the Lehigh Valley and answered questions on hazard mitigation.
LuAnn Dahlman serves as a Co-Managing Editor for the U.S. Climate Resilience Toolkit. A former educator and curriculum developer, she contributes to Climate.gov and serves as a user-advocate for interactive tools such as Climate Explorer.
