A full house enjoyed the premiere of Nurture Nature Center’s new Science on a Sphere® show, Six Degrees of Connection, on Saturday, December 1, as part of a special event, “It’s All Connected: Exploring Connections from Earth Science to Family.” The new program, funded through a grant from NASA, is an interactive SOS program that showcases interconnections within earth science. Following the presentation, New York Times best-selling author and humorist AJ Jacobs gave an entertaining talk about his books, including “It’s All Relative: Adventures Up and Down the World’s Family Tree” and “Thanks a Thousand,” exploring how connections – and gratitude for those connections – informed his own projects. Book & Puppet Co. sold books for a signing afterward.

NNC’s Science Director, Kate Semmens, presents the “Six Degrees of Connection” Science on a Sphere Presentation.
