Lehigh Valley Sustainable Business Program
The LV Sustainable Business Recognition Program celebrates business owners in the Easton and Bethlehem areas for their commitment to sustainability and climate action. Local businesses have an important role to play in implementing both cities’ Climate Action Plans (CAPs) through reducing their own emissions, making more sustainable options available to their customer base, and serving as leaders modeling climate action and sustainability in their communities.
- Fill out an application about how your business takes sustainability and climate action.
- Receive a window sticker, digital badge, and public recognition for your efforts.
- Share your commitment with customers who want to know what their dollars are supporting!
- Participate in our Sustainable Business Network to team up with other business owners and learn about best practices for sustainability, funding opportunities, and additional resources.
Email Lauren (lfosbenner@nurturenaturecenter.org) to be added to our contact list for upcoming business network meetings!
How to Apply
Applications are open for new businesses to apply to join the recognition program! Click here to apply!
The application asks about actions you have taken in six categories: energy, water, transportation, food (if applicable), waste, and community. There is also space for you to submit any additional actions you are taking that aren’t already listed on the questionnaire. You can view the questionnaire in a Google Doc here to aid in preparing your answers before starting the application form.
We will reach out after we receive your questionnaire. We want this to be a smooth and easy process for you! Please feel free to reach out to Lauren (lfosbenner@nurturenaturecenter.org) with questions at any point in the process of preparing your application.

LV Sustainable Business Network
We want to not only recognize business owners for the sustainability actions they are already taking but also make it easier to take additional actions. The LV Sustainable Business Network is a community of like-minded business owners who share ideas, challenges, and best practices to support one another in their efforts. This could include sharing funding sources, tips for cost-saving actions, opportunities for special speakers/presenters, and other resources. You do not need to fill out the recognition program application to join the network! All are welcome. The network meets quarterly.
Interested in joining? Email Lauren at lfosbenner@nurturenaturecenter.org to be added to the network contact list.
