Testimonials from our interns:
“My internship at the Nurture Nature Center was everything I could have hoped for–not only did I get valuable experience but it was in an environment that was warm and welcoming. It was great to have the opportunity in a place that was not only fun (we worked everything from crafts with kids to a forum on local food), but also made you feel like you were doing something good for the city of Easton. I’m incredibly sad to leave NNC, but I know that everything I have learned and experienced is absolutely priceless.” - Brooke Howat, Boston University
“Interning at the Nurture Nature Center this summer was a wonderful experience. It is an extremely inviting environment where everyone is friendly, very willing to help, and exceptionally grateful. From offering information at Easton Farmers’ Market to creating robots and planets for kids crafts to marketing for and participating in events, my time at NNC was both insightful and empowering. Even though I was only with the center for a short time, the work being done there made me more aware of local environmental issues and what we, as a community, can do in order to try to address them. Never having worked with a non-profit organization before, I found it extremely interesting to observe how the company operates–specifically in terms of grant processes. There is great work being done at the Nurture Nature Center and I am glad I was able to be a part of it.” - Sheynn Settle, Boston University
